Support of The Salvation Army

KoKodiak Self Storage is proud to be supporting the Salvation Army in Thirsk by donating a storage container free of charge to help with their growing needs.

Since arriving in Thirsk in 2018, the Salvation Army’s work in the local community has continued to grow. From the Christmas Toy Appeal and Kids Community Wardrobe to supporting people experiencing homelessness or families in difficult situations, their team provides vital help all year round.

Making a practical difference

By providing a secure container at the Kodiak Self Storage site in Sowerby, Thirsk the Salvation Army now has a dry, accessible place to safely store the items they rely on.

The Salvation Army in Thirsk said:
“We’re incredibly grateful to Kodiak Self Storage for their support, and to Martin and the team for going the extra mile. Having access to secure storage has made a huge difference to the work we do.”

Supporting more than one great cause
Kodiak has also supported Thirsk Homeless Organisation and currently provides half of the container to SWFA (Sportswear for All) a not-for-profit scheme that ensures that children can participate in sports by loaning and swapping boots, sports trainers, sports equipment and more. 

Supporting local organisations is an important part of what Kodiak Self Storage does, and we’re proud to play a small role in helping groups like these continue their amazing work.
