Self Storage Made Easy
Can I view a unit?
Of course – if we have a unit available you can come down to visit any of our sites from 8am – 6.30pm, 7 days a week, please contact us to make arrangements.
How do I book a unit?
Units can be booked online, please feel free to contact us with any questions. As part of the booking process, you will be required to sign a rental agreement, via the web site. In addition, we require you to complete an ID verification using either a valid driving licence or passport.
Why do you need to carry out an ID Check?
We believe it is important for us to know who our customers are – this is in line with best practice within the industry and to help us comply with Anti-Terrorism and Money Laundering Regulations. We carry out the photo ID check remotely by using software which matches your photograph in your ID to a selfie.
Do I need to arrange protection for my goods in Storage?
YES. We want to make sure that everyone storing with us has complete peace of mind for all eventualities, as you would if your contents are stored at home. All our customers must have adequate protection for their goods in storage. We will be happy to secure this protection for you using ‘StoreProtect’ which we arrange with the industry’s specialist insurance broker and is specifically designed for self-storage customers. This protection is detailed within our terms and conditions.
StoreProtect provides cover on a “new for old” basis of settlement. This means that in the unlikely event of loss or damage that the policy will respond in providing you with new items to replace your current items if they cannot be repaired.
In order for you to benefit from this cover however it is essential that you declare the total value of your goods on the above basis if you were to purchase them today.
Where other Self Storage Operators have had losses, they have found that Customers had significantly undervalued their goods because they had not declared their true replacement value on this basis. In the event of a claim any under valuation will result in a reduced settlement. If goods are found to be worth say £20,000 and they are only insured for £10,000 then you will only receive 50% of the settlement.
The minimum level of cover is £2,500, the cost of this is £2.50+vat per week. Additional cover can be purchased at a cost of £2.50+vat per week per £2,500 of cover.
Can I insure my own goods?
Yes, but household insurance does not normally cover self-storage facilities. Any insurance you have in place must include cover for self-storage with our storage facility as the address. We will require a copy of the policy as proof that you have adequate cover.
Do storage units come with their own locks?
Yes, a lock will be provided.
What security arrangements do you have in place?
The site is monitored with CCTV that covers the entrance to the compound and the site. The compound is gated, with electronic security access.
Is there 24-hour access?
The site is open seven days a week from 7am to 10pm, with drive up access to all units.
Can I give someone else access to my storage container?
Yes, but they will need to be added to the gate security system.
What is the minimum rental period?
The minimum rental period is 28 days.
How is payment made?
Payment is taken automatically every 28 days in advance, by debit or credit card, unless you have paid in advance for an extended period.
What notice period is required?
A written 14-day notice period.
If I haven’t paid my bill can I still access my unit?
Sorry – if your account is in arrears, you will not be able to access your unit.

How do I vacate the unit?
The unit must be left clean and tidy. You are required to email a photograph of the unit on vacation and prior to returning the keys. The keys must be returned on site to the key return box.
